Will Nepal become next Tibet?

Tibet was sovereign country as Nepal in past, now Tibet is part of China. At present Nepal's foreign policy is highly tilted towards China and very critical comments towards India.

China's expansionist policy

China is having border disputes with almost every country except on its northern borders. China always tries to expand its territory. China attacked Tibet in 1950-51 and occupied its whole territory.
China is having five fingers of Tibet strategy:
The Five fingers of Tibet is a Chinese strategy attributed to Mao Zedong that considers Tibet to be China's right hand palm, with five fingers with five fingers: Ladakh, Nepal, Sikkim, Bhutan and Arinachal pradesh and that's why China claims to these territories.

Nepal's stand towards border disputes

Nepal is having tough stand towards border issues with India about Kalapani, Lipulekh pass and other disputed territories. When India constructed road near Lipulekh for pilgrims to kailash mansarovar to reduce their journey time. There were critical comments from Nepal government towards India. At the same time China is encroaching in Nepal, and Nepal is not raising this issue.

Way forward

Nepal should make proper balance in its foreign policy with India and China. As Nepal is India's old friend with open borders. In 1950 Indo-Nepal treaty of peace and friendship is signed between both the nations. Both India and Nepal can solve their border disputes by talks. And Nepal can have balanced diplomatic ties with both India and China.
